Our church and reading room are located at 1010 N. Alvernon in Tucson, AZ (map).
We meet on Sundays and Wednesdays to worship God, to learn more about Him, and to respond to His healing love. Everyone is invited to attend our services and use our reading room.
Sunday Church Service — 10:00 am
On Sundays, the congregation sings hymns and prays together — both silently and aloud with the Lord’s Prayer. There are Scriptural selections, a solo, and the reading of a Bible Lesson-Sermon from the King James Version of the Bible, and with correlative passages from our denominational textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. Services are conducted by two lay readers who are elected by the church.
Christian Scientists study the Bible Lesson during the week to draw closer to God and better His ever-present power and Love. The weekly Bible Lesson is published in The Christian Science Quarterly and read at churches and by Christian Scientists at home, worldwide.
Sunday School —10:00 am
Sunday School meets at the same hour as Sunday worship, and we welcome young people under 20. Students are taught the Bible, and their first lessons begin with the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer and the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount. Later classes consist mainly of questions and answers related to Scripture and the teachings of Christian Science appropriate to the children’s ages.
Wednesday Testimony Meeting — 7:30pm
On Wednesday evenings, the congregation listens to a short topical reading from the Bible, with correlated passages from Science and Health. Then the congregation is invited to share how the spiritual truths of the Bible have practical application in our lives. They testify to the power of the Christ in instances of hope restored, sickness healed, and sin destroyed and forgiven.
Children too young for Sunday School or Wednesday meetings are welcome in our child care room.
